RoHs Directive

Since the publication of 2202/95/EC Directive, Fagor Electronica S. Coop is involved, with the collaboration of its valued suppliers, in the elimination or at least in the reduction to allowed levels, in its products and manufacturing processes, of the six banned substances: Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs) and Polybrominated Diphenylethers (PBDEs).

The RoHS Directive amendment of August 2005, establishes a maximum concentration value of 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials for the above mentioned substances, and of 0.01% for Cadmium to be tolerated.

The mentioned banned substances are not present in the products manufactured and sold by Fagor Electronica S. Coop, with the exception of Lead (Pb) which is either:
> As an element of the internal die solder to leads or to lead-frames. RoHS annex exception # 7: Lead in high melting temperature type solders (i.e. tin-lead solder alloys containing more than 85% lead)
> As an element of the glass used for chip passivation and chip protection. RoHS annex exception # 5: Lead in glass of cathode ray tubes, electronic components and fluorescent tubes, or
> As an element of the plating in concentrations under 1000 ppm's.
