Fagor Electrónica will go ahead with its biggest expansion plan

The cooperative plans to increase its sales by 32% and its staff by 20% through an investment of 15 million euros.
After celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016, Fagor Electrónica faces a new stage with its new strategic plan 2017-2020, the most expansive that the cooperative has ever done in its history, according to its director, Mikel Trojaola. The main objectives to be achieved in the next four years will be to increase its sales by more than 32 percent and a 20 percent the jobs between the plants in Mondragón and Santander, a goal that will involve an investment of 15 million euros.
The investments to be made will be oriented, mainly, to production resources that contribute an improvement of quality and greater efficiency of its productive processes. In the field of R+D+i, Fagor Electrónica will continue betting on the development of new products in each of its businesses and innovative solutions, oriented to the manufacture. One of the main lines of action is focused on the development of electronic products for the aeronautics sector, where Fagor Electrónica has also obtained the certificates EN 9100 and EN 9110, a must to be a supplier.
