Fagor Electrónica, together with MONDRAGON Corporation – MONDRAGON Ventures, has invested in Semi Zabala, a leading company in the development of GaN HEMT transistors and recently awarded as the Innovative Company of 2025.

This operation strengthens Fagor Electrónica’s commitment to innovation in semiconductors, technological diversification, and the promotion of Euskadi as a microelectronics hub. As highlighted by Miguel Ángel Pérez Sebastián, R&D and Digital Transformation Director at Fagor Electrónica, this collaboration will enable access to cutting-edge GaN-based technologies, expand the product portfolio, and open new opportunities in strategic sectors such as aerospace.

Semi Zabala continues to advance with its industrial project “Beyond The Power” and the recent opening of its plant in Zubieta, which is set to become a reference center for the manufacturing and testing of power semiconductors. This alliance strengthens the Basque microelectronics ecosystem and consolidates Fagor Electrónica’s commitment to technologies that will shape the future.
